« on: April 18, 2014, 09:56:20 PM »
... And, how does UB's class compare to the rest of the MAC?  All information is complied from VerbalCommits.  Juco and other transfers were not considered.  Things are still in flux as the signing period doesn't end until May 21st.  High major conferences are those not listed in the collegeinsider mid-major poll.

If Lamonte Bearden stays eligible, great recruiting class.  If not, above average.  BGSU has some rebuilding to do.  I don't know how they can't get a single guy to commit (and sign, as I think they had one guy to sign, but drop), when their team isn't nearly as bad as Ball St or NIU in the past.
So, thunder through, Go Blue! Give a Cheer, never fear!

At first glance, Miami, Ball State, and Buffalo seem to have the most impressive classes coming in. Ranking classes never really counts for much but I never would have guessed i would be most impressed by those teams in terms of recruiting.

... Ranking classes never really counts for much ...
Agreed, especially with so much turnover in the sport.  It's nice that the VC site maintains some history with the teams and players.

Players who are currently with the team, versus those who have transferred.

Ball State51034332
Bowling Green21412130
Central Michigan13265131
Eastern Michigan41223300
Kent State43344311
Northern Illinois12683530
Western Michigan21134151

There are a grand total of 139 scholarship players in the MAC (not counting the newest class), and there have been 105 announced transfers.
