NIU game
« on: October 14, 2017, 04:10:33 PM »
I’ll say this... UB’s uniforms are super sharp today, especially the helmet. One of the top10 uniforms in the country IMO. Keep that in heavy rotation.

1st and 10 from NIU 12 and they run twice up the middle with Theo Anderson. Don’t love those play calls.  Made third down and obvious passing situation and we had to settle for a FG.

Shame,, that was a game they probably would have won if the starting QB stayed in the game.  Sometimes you need to win a game you're not supposed to win and these past two weeks are rough in that regard.

If we can get back a QB, the final 5 games are there for the taking.  I suspect it wont be that easy, it never is.... and the Bulls will need that final game vs. Ohio to be Bowl eligible.

I see really good things for next season. The coaching is really good and lot's of talent across the board plus solid QB's.  The Bulls could be one of those MAC teams in 2018 that really take a big jump to the next level.

Agreed, on all accounts.  This isn't knock on Vantrease, but I think if Anderson or Jackson were playing, we probably would have won that game.  Clearly, we can play with the top tier teams in the league and next year might be rather special.

It's really too bad that we are 0-2 the last two weeks. Kids are battling. I hope they don't give up yet. We are still in the MAC East race.

Attendance was crap.  Embarrassing.  BGSU game the stadium is going to be empty if we can't get a decent crowd for a Saturday 3:30 game when it's 70 out.
So, thunder through, Go Blue! Give a Cheer, never fear!

I wanted to read the local paper's coverage of the game for their hometown college team, but could not find it.  I suspect it exists, but I searched and searched on the mobile site, to no avail.

Any link?
The State University of New York.

Bucky Gleason had an opinion piece and another piece that covered yesterday’s game. He lamented that there may have been more fans at the Alden (high school) Cross Country Invitational than fans in the stands for the football game.
