XC Northeast Regionals
« on: November 06, 2017, 05:47:10 PM »
Looks like it’s going to be perfect cross weather on Friday at the Audibon Golf Course. High of 29 and 17 mph winds: Yikes! Go Bulls!

In temps like that, the only place I'm running is from my parked car, to the door of the bar.
Come to think of it, that's pretty much the only place I run anyway.

When a cross runner is about one kilometer from the chute, headed uphill into a swirling wind and his (or her) breath is immediately crystallized, one thought dominates: “Now is the beginning of wisdom”.

Shouldn't that have been a question mark at the end of the sentence?

Haha. I suppose so. Men ran respectively well today and finished 14th out of 37 with Liam Hilbert (So) the first Bull in at 42nd place. Women finished very well taking 10th out of 36, with Stephanie Ward (So) first in for the Lady Bulls at 51st place. It was coooooooold, but at least some of the mud was frozen. Congratulations to these hard working young men and women and the entire coaching staff for a fine season!
