That was one of the most unBeeffalo game I've ever watched.

If anyone needs some eye bleach, join clodney and I in watching Tech beat up on Liberty (coached by a one Turner Gill).  I think I can guarantee a win... after last night, I'm not going to, but I'm pretty confident we will handle our shaq.

I'll take part of the blame for that.  Having a real job and kids has seriously hampered my fvking around online time.

Is two minutes really enough time to expres Penn State Hate? I imagine the experts are experts because they watched ESPN.

Chi, good point, no it's not.  Not at all.  If I wasn't getting ready for a week long business trip I could've instigated a bit more.  Maybe it's for the best, as now the down syndrome lions won't even see it coming when we run over them today.

(Also, we'll done, mh's board hijack fell short.  Thank God. #Beeffalo #notanupset #hashtag)

The "expert" predictions from some Penn State media members are saying things like Buffalo is a "mediocre MAC offense", "one of the poorest programs in the MAC", and they "can’t see Buffalo getting anything started downfield". I think they have this game all backward. Our offense is MUCH better than they think and will definitely get some points on this defense. We are balanced, we are experienced, and our QB is a 4 year starter that is closing in on 7,000 passing yards for his career. Temple, meanwhile, was an awful, run-heavy offense with a propensity to turn the ball over, yet they managed to put up 27 points - the most they had scored in 8 games going back to last year. Now, I know that people are blaming the defense's struggles on the offenses inability to string together any drives after the first quarter but they still shouldn't be seen as world beaters.

If there are any concerns they are with our defense. We need to prove that we can get pressure on Hackenburg. Temple was definitely a stronger defensive team with strong tackles getting pressure.

Astute observations my UBrother.  This is a very, VERY beatable team, and it's our offense that's going to do it.  It's been tough watching UB games in the Quinn-era given the Orange and Maroon lens I see the CFB world through.  There's something creepy, un-American or even Big Twelve-esqe about trying to out score the other team.  There's no more frustrating feeling for me than seeing the other team score points.  Each one is a dagger.  But that's what this current team is about.  I have full confidence in the players on Offense, but I have little to none for Defense.  Clearly the "experts" are mailing it in if they don't recognize that the talent of the this team is on O.  We run and we can pass and we'll be doing plenty of both in the upcoming victory tomorrow.  I won't even be surprised when it happens.  This is a good team this year, with great playmakers.  I think we finally have the leadership and mindset to go back to the MAC title game and beyond.

Let's get it done boys.

To keep it OT, Pen15 State sucks.

Last night in New York City there was a trivia contest between alumni from UB and Penn State.  The top two teams were from UB.  I believe this is what the English Department would teach as foreshadowing.

...and what the Religious Studies/Theology department would call signs of the prophesy coming true.

Some day UB will have a win over a major BCS football school like Penn State, I can't believe Temple did it first from where they were when they joined the MAC.

Woah, woah, woah... let's not go nuts with the "major BCS football school" stuff here.  Ok, nice win, but Pen15 State isn't going to the CFB playoff.  Never were and definitely not now.  They're just barely back to full scholarships after almost getting the NCAA death penalty.  And they're ripe for the picking.  0-2 is in their future.

UBrothers!!!  This is how insidious this opponent is... they have done things so vile, so retched, so UNbeeffalo that they have us fighting among our own.

Remember who the enemy is... the enemy is anyone who puts themselves between us and our chosen path... the path of honor, the path of glory and the path of blood.  Horns up and charge forward my UBrothers, we must take what is rightfully ours, and Pen15 State, and the sex-offender-registered administration that leads them, is in our way.  They deserve all of our attention and none of our mercy.

I'm going to withhold my congratulations until Sackenberg's blood toxicity report comes back... pretty sure I saw this guy hovering around the Pen15 State water cooler...

I have to say, I have some love for Penn State as they responded to the VT shootings with this at their Spring Game in 2007...

Which was nice... my love for Penn State stops right about there.  Why?  Well, let's get into it...

TWO MINUTES HATE - PEN15 STATE:

1) A few months after the touching tribute pictured above, a couple Pen15 State douchetards dressed up like VT Shooting victims for Halloween -

Like this...

And this...

Haha, CLASSIC costume brah!  Jagerbombzzz!!!

To make these hilarious outfits even better, a$$hole costume guy responded to the widespread backlash like a total a$$hole.  In an interview with the Daily Collegian, Penn State's student newspaper, our costumed heroes showed no remorse, and even harbored a little resentment, for the unwanted attention and criticism in response to their hilarious outfits.  When asked if he'd apologize for offending the Virginia Tech Community or the families of the victims, Nathan Jones said "Never ever ever.  I will die before I do."  It seems, shortly after making his feelings known, some from the Tech community tried to make the latter happen quicker than Jones hoped.  "A huge majority of my time has been spent removing my information from Web sites -- doing damage control," Jones said. "I would not show my face on the Virginia Tech campus now. They might actually murder me. Apparently, violence is the answer."

Along with being a massive a$$hole, Jones is also kinda stupid.  In an interview he gave to a Roanoke, Virginia area news station (WSLS, about thirty minutes from Tech campus), Jones said, "We are notorious and infamous in State College and very popular, so we have to do things that push the envelope ... we do it just for shock value."  After his statement was aired, Jones said he was "misled" by his interviewer, Lindsey Henley, and that it was never clear the interview would enter public airwaves.
Henley, a 2007 Virginia Tech graduate, said she made it clear that the call would be aired.  "The first thing I said is that I'm recording this conversation," Henley said. "I don't know what part of that he didn't understand.  I think that's a cop-out personally. The next day he e-mailed me and said he would have chosen his words more carefully."

Luckily, this story has a fairly happy ending as Nathan Jones, and his partner in pranking, Jessica Maroclo, lost their jobs shortly after their costumes and comments came to light.

Ok, I know what you're thinking... "Proof, Pen15 State enrolls half the population of Pennsylvania, how can we hate them for two a$$holes among 100,000?"  Fair enough, let's keep going....

2) Their mascot looks something a middle school kid would make if his parents refused to help him -

I had always thought of a lion as a ferocious, intimidating predator that enjoys the taste of blood.  But this is what Pen15 State thinks a lion looks like...

Ok, let's start with the obvious.  That's like... a bear or something.  And... just... what the fvck is this?  I don't really know, nor care, what "Nittany" means, but I'm guessing it's some form of animal kingdom down syndrome.  This abomination looks like it should be on the r/badtaxidermy subreddit.  Fvck, it almost looks like they copied it from this:

This weekend, Victor E. Bull will never look more majestic than when he's standing anywhere near this mistake of nature.

3) I almost don't want to bring it up... but... Sandusky?

Ok, this is... well, this is just... ehhhh, not cool.  But it's a reason.  How can I not bring this up?  You all know the story.  The entire time JoePa and the boys were winning games, going to bowls, stocking the NFL with future greats... there was a fair amount of kid-touching going on in their locker room.  Ok, this might seem like I'm digging up an old story, and God bless'em for trying to move on from this sorted affair, but it looks like a fair number of the Pen15 State administration was covering up Slippy Sandusky's escapades (http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2015/01/judges_ruling_brings_final_cha.html) and that is just unforgivable and... 100% hate-able.

Ok, I'll leave it there.  I think I need to take back my opening statement now.  Fvck these guys.  Let's get after Sackenberg and go 2-0 for the first time in God knows when.

UBrothers, I made a petition on change.org that I'll need you all to support:

Make University at Albany change their mascot from the "Great Danes" to simply the "Danes" -

backed for a good cause

A UBrother in all things, thanks Chi.  This is indeed a good cause, hopefully convincing some eastern or northern NY kids from making a huge mistake and choosing Analby over any other school... Or dealing meth.  Both would be better for their mental and professional futures.

It's listed as being on ESPN 3

With the announcing duo of Michael Reghi and Dustin Fox.

Ah, ole Michael Reghi.  Used to call O's games... back when DC didn't have a team.  I think he was one of the dudes in the booth for the Temple Hail Mary game.

You may remember from the Lincoln movie that when  the secretary of state, William H. Seward, tells President Lincoln that if he is serious about passing the 13th Amendment, to abolish slavery, it will require unseemly arm-twisting and patronage promises best left to the experts in such skulduggery.

Who does Seward recommend?

He says,   “I’ll fetch a friend from Albany,”

Calm yourself, my friend. Do you have no discretion?!

Inside joke... but, classic.  Will there be Television cameras at this game?  If so, are they going to be sending what they record out via... something like... I dunno... a broadcast?

Not to derail the hate, I'm trying to remember, but wasnt there plans for a fieldhouse as one of the projects for the original UB2020??

Yes... and it was to be built entirely out of gold and diamonds.

... not the skull and bones of our enemies, which is why I was never in full support of it.
