Thank you to everyone who took up the challenge. I just paid up on my challenge and donated 1k. I hope everyone sees fit to make a donation as well, no matter how big or small. Every bit helps!

Go Bulls!

Thank you so much for stepping up for our teams!
What he said.  Thank you.  It's much appreciated.

The ladies game definitely had some international flare. How many different countries were represented on the court today? 8? Basketball is surely catching up to soccer as the world’s game.
And... basketball is exciting to watch.

Anyone else going to Boise?  Or know someone who is?
Holy Shaq.  There's a blast from the past.  Welcome back TH&T

I grew up 10 miles from UB.  Played baseball for a local community college back in the late 70s.  Before the fall of 07, I had attended a grand total of 1 UB basketball game, and 1 UB football game (Turner Gill's first W with us).  Oh, and I played in a volleyball tourney with my big brother in A.A.  That all changed in October 07 when TG hired my wife to work in the football program.  UB Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, and to a lesser extent UB Volleyball have now become a part of my life.  I've also attended some softball, baseball, and rowing matches.  I never attended UB, but it's my school now.  It's human nature to refer to  the team that you root for as US.  It's OUR team, and WE won last night.   It feels good that WE have advanced and OUR team is one of the 32 left.

I agree with Promo on this.  I'm not sure UBFan needs writers to do feature articles.  There's already a site for that.  I like the 2 sites for what they are.  UBFan for short blurbs and discussion, BullRun for the articles and ensuing discussion.  The only thing I miss on UBFan is a "Rec" or "Like" button.  (Promo, I hope I read you correctly).  I'm also quite glad that traffic on UBFan seems to have picked up quite a bit in the last few months or so.

Much deserved love.

Speaking of dinner... In Wisconsin, where Nate is from, they take fresh ground beef, add some onion and seasoning and eat it on party rye slices.  RAW.  We would call it steak tartar.  They call it wildcat.  Head to your local meat market and get some 90/10.  We're dining on more wildcat tomorrow.

Wish I could get my hands on one of the MAC Champion baseball caps that the players and staff got on Saturday night.  They were sold out at the stand when we got there.

Not intended as a slight to the other coaches. I just meant that regular NCAA tournament appearances makes recruiting much easier and the perhaps the best way to ensure sustained success of the program is ensuring we are winning recruiting battles for the guys we want. NCAA tournament appearances beget strong recruiting classes and strong recruiting classes beget NCAA tournament appearances.

In one of the stated reasons why Harris came to UB.

It will never get old in my book to thank Danny White for making a very hard (and locally unpopular) decision to let RW go for a different coach.  That one hard decision, in my opinion, got us to where we are now.
It was only locally unpopular to those that really liked RW as a great guy.  Those that wanted UB to win a championship were on board with the change.

Buffalo Bulls Basketball / Re: Hurleys v. Cuse

The refs may be forced to have a hand in it, depending on whether or not Hurley throws one of his childish temper tantrums.  My problem with Hurley is not that he left.  I'm happy that we won a Championship under him.  I'm happy that he brought in some of the players that he brought.  I'm happy that he brought Oats on board.  Even while he was doing these great things, I often found him to be an embarrassment to our school.  Between the whiner, and the fact that I have 3 of my childhood best friends that are Cuse Alums, I've gotta root for Cuse.  Don't much like em, but... I didn't much like the Eagles but I rooted for them because of Steven Means, as well as my dislike for the Pats.

Don't sell Whitesell short.  While Hodgson may be the recruiting guru, I think Whitesell is the strategist of the group.

May I ask, WTF is Whip-around coverage?

Guru, I wish I had a chance to meet you.  Most likely talked with you at some point.  I think I hugged damn near everyone there.
