Buffalo Bulls Football / Re: New Look for Temple

MH55, I'm hoping to get to the Temple game.  If so, would love to meet up and give you the honor of buying me a beer.  Speaking of beer, the only Victory that the Philly area will be celebrating on 9/8, is the brewery.  And, a fine one it is.

I have lost all respect for you.  You will associate with anyone as long as they buy you a beer.
Shallow. I know.  But hey, Victory makes a mighty fine brew.  At least I didn't say that I was going to buy him one.

This would suck out loud. For heavens sake, can we get a bowl game within 1 time zone of us?  Someplace you don't need a covered wagon to get to?

Boise is a great city.
I agree, Brook.  I believe there were 6 breweries withing about 3 miles of the team hotel last time.  That being said, I vote for a warmer climate this time around.

Great news.  I was hoping for Buffalo, but with McCoy seeming to come out of his mess unscathed, I think the Bills are in pretty decent shape at RB.

It boggles the mind that a University will have a student: professor ratio of 40>1, while the athlete: coach ratio is 4 to 1. That is pathetic, and has nothing specific to UB. That is the sign of a sick culture.
While I agree that the ratios are a bad sign, this statement itself is very misleading.  In your 4 to 1 ratio, you've lumped coaches, trainers, equipment personnel, admin, graduate assistants, ... all under the umbrella of coach, but your professor ratio of 40>1, you seem to have left all of the support staff positions out.  The ratios would still be out of wack, but if you're going to make comparisons, use all of the data.

The facilities are amazing.   Wish UB had the same.  They are updating the stadium as well.

Turner and Coach Stamn gave us a tour.  It was awesome.
Yes they are.  I really wanted to try the artificial ski slope.

BO wasn't on the Bills roster of players that went to camp yesterday.  Keeping our fingers crossed.

Hmm, HoofPrints says major is Communication.  Under his pic, the bio says major is Engineering.

But, will we be back from the bowl game in time to attend the basketball game?

Saw this article and smiled...maybe most G5 teams have a "Bucky" somewhere?

Does changing the name of the school in this piece relieve James Barron of any possible plagiarism suit from Bucky and Sully?

The ONLY good thing about going to Boise would be that we already know where the breweries are.

Couldn't disagree more. This is not a case of "there's no such thing as bad publicity". Bucky Gleason single-handedly attempted to disembowel our football program for years and his hit pieces shaped the minds of every casual observer in WNY. He did nothing to support any of our programs since he was only audible during times of duress. He was a cancer to UB athletics and I'm glad as hell that they removed him from his soapbox.

That was not his job.  He had a column and gave his opinion.  He was not at the paper to be part of the UB publicity team.
While I agree with you Brook, as far as not being UB publicity team.  It's unfortunate that he made it his job to cram his opinion down our throats, much more so than actually reporting on our teams.
