Departure Coming in UB Front Office
« on: July 08, 2015, 04:20:56 PM »
A highly reliable source has advised me that there will be a departure from the front office of the Athletic Department next week.

Feel free to discuss and speculate.  This will be my last post in this thread until the departure occurs or there is a public announcement.

I hope it's not Danny White.

Twist. She has been at the University too long and went from coach to senior AD. Bet she wants to run her own show as female ADs seem to be on the rise, even if it is at D-2.

In women's rowing, MaryKate Frauenheim (Assistant Coach) has been replaced with Lauren Schueler (Novice Assistant Coach).

With all due respect to the biggest UB fan of them all.....

if you know something that is supposed to be private, it would probably be best to say nothing until it gets announced.

It was done to prepare people for the change so that they had some warning that something is in the pipeline.

White to UCF

Ugh....I guess I won't rip TBN.

This would be terrible for our entire program if White were to leave. He must be so frustrated having to deal with the anti-NYBI folks and SUNY officials.

"Don’t give me that WNY is getting favorable treatment here. WNY was getting screwed for years and this bill does very little to equalize things. We don’t want to hold back SB/BU & UA but UB has been working on 2020 for 5 years. Don’t say, ‘Because you’re at the finish line you have to wait for us'"

If he were to leave, I don't think it means he's frustrated.  Just like the AD before him and some successful coaches we've had, UB is a springboard to (perceived) bigger and better things.

Is UCF really bigger and better things? If it is, he's really failed with his NYBI push.

#1 I said "perceived"
#2 I didn't necessarily mean the program is bigger and better.  Could be $$.  Could be location.  Could be any number of things that could lure him.  What is bigger and better to one, may be a side step or a step down in another's view.

I don't think White has done that great of job, in my opinion

What makes you think that? The increased number of Championships across the department?
