The extension will keep Leipold in charge though the 2020 season.

I think it's smart to have at least 4 years on the head coaches contract, assuming he's not on the hot seat. It's a security blanket for recruits that the coach will be at the school throughout the kids tenure. All that's left now is to win some games!

This was the stupidest move by a UB Athletic Director in a long time.
"Don’t give me that WNY is getting favorable treatment here. WNY was getting screwed for years and this bill does very little to equalize things. We don’t want to hold back SB/BU & UA but UB has been working on 2020 for 5 years. Don’t say, ‘Because you’re at the finish line you have to wait for us'"

Since giving Quinn an extension after 2- and 3-win seasons.

I feel bad for Lance. He's a good guy.  There's no way he could've foreseen how badly things would unravel here.
I don't know what happens at seasons end,  but I suspect either he gets fired or he stays and his entire staff goes.

Him being a "good guy" is irrelevant. Everyone makes it so personal.

Lance is 3-8 in the MAC in two years, we're last in total offense in the MAC, down from 9th last year. We're last in total defense this year and down from 7th. Lance's former school lost in the semis last year, they're ranked #2 according to Massey this year.

We have 5 MAC games left, we're going to lose at least 4 of the 5 in my opinion, he will be 4-12 in two years.

There is a reason why people make it personal.  Because it is personal.
