First off - can I say, everyone is thankful for all the sponsorship that helps support the program.  (Though I do question advertisements for a casino during a student-athlete contest).  And Santora's makes a good pie, even though I think they're a bit on the pricey side.  Do they realize that downgrading the half-court shot prize to 12 MEDIUM pizzas is not good publicity for them?

WNY is still in a leaning curve with college basketball. The good news is they are showing up to see a winner. The bad news is they aren't getting into the team enough to make some real noise.

Definitely. This was a strong year for WNY hoops though with Us, Bona and Canisius all having better than average seasons. If both us and Bona go dancing it would be great to see this carry over into next season which has been expected to be better than this year for us talent wise.

Another memorable night for the team and the fans. The first half was one of the more ugly halfs they have played all season. Air balls from several players in the first half. They did not seem to come out with any energy and really looked like a lot of players were barely moving at all. Akron even though they made shots in the first half did not look very good with many turnovers. This is what happens when the coach leaves and many of their top tier players leave also. A team has to start over with a total change in team chemistry. To UB's credit they came out in the 2nd half with intensity on both ends of the floor. Continue to be impressed with Harris with his basketball IQ. He was not making his 3's so he continued to drive to the basket or shoot jumpers around the basket. Perkins actually passed the ball a few times when he was being double/triple teamed underneath. Happy to see CJ make 5-8 from 3 point line. Not happy with Caruthers attitude -One of the coaches tried talking to him after he came out of the game and just walked right past the coach with the coach going right after him toward the end of the bench. That is the same kind of thing that Beardon did a lot the last year he was here. Will need to have Caruthers head on straight down in Cleveland.Congrats to the team for a great home record with shooting over 50% for nine straight games and hitting the 80 point mark for the 23rd time which is the most in the nation.Go Bulls!!!

Yikes! The Bulls played a decent second half, although it was touch and go with roughly 3 minutes remaining. I never noticed Carruthers’ attitude until after guru pointed it out. Now I see it: he’s a energizer bunny version of Blake Hamilton. My wife pointed out last night how he didn’t have his jersey tucked in. What a spoiled brat. Hey Carruthers: like your hustle, but leave the theatrics for the drama club.

Only got to watch parts of the game last night. Happy we pulled out the win and swept Akron this year (even if it isn't a down year for them).

Refs were atrocious per usual. Calls both ways that were just mind blowing.

We should prob sit Wes against BG. He's had the lingering shoulder issue that doesn't seem to keep him out of games but you'd think in a mostly meaningless game it would be wise to get him as close to 100% before things get serious. Plus it gives the other guys some extra practice dealing with being down one of our top scorers.

Can't wait to see that updated banner next year with the regular season crown in our hands!!

Yes it will be great to see the banner raised next year and was pretty neat to see the team cut the net down. It was only fitting that a student made the half court shot and many of us for years have thought it is a joke to only get 12 medium pizzas as a reward. Whose idea was it to have the seniors honored after the game?? I can't say I have ever heard of doing it like that!! Cutting the net down brought back memories when the men and women won in Cleveland and being down on the court with the players and fans. A great memory that I will never forget. During the game we were sitting in an area where there were some Akron fans and these fans were very gracious and congratulated us. Hope for a repeat and Go Bulls!!! Yes it would be great to have more positive exposure for our local teams St. Bona, Canisius and Niagara and some of our Division II/III teams are having good seasons.

Didn't Kyu make the half court shot years ago? I thought it was free pizza for a year (although I was never sure how that was defined). Of course Kyu living 400 or so miles away made that a little difficult.
