Thanks for the warm welcome. I believe the keys to the game will be
1. Who will control the tempo. Obviously, Buffalo likes to get up and down the floor. SC, however, will want to slow things down to work things into the post, where the match-ups will be heavy in their favor.
2. SC has to have at least a couple of other players step up. While A'ja is a match-up nightmare for pretty much anyone, SC cannot rely on her alone. There needs to still be an outside threat or 2 to pull the Buffalo players out of the paint, keeping them from sagging on A'ja and the other posts.
3. Ball pressure. SC has been very susceptible to turning the ball over at times when faced with strong pressure. If Buffalo tries to speed up the SC offense, the gamecocks will have to manage the pressure better than they did vs. NCA&T
4. Which Carolina team will show up? The one that has played the 1st 2 rounds of this tournament, or the one that dominated the SEC Tournament?
5. Ball pressure 2. SC has to chase Buffalo off the 3 point line and put pressure on their guards. If SC is successful in this aspect, I believe the gamecocks could have a great night. Otherwise, the scales could tip in the favor of the bulls.
