Thanks for the warm welcome.  I believe the keys to the game will be
1. Who will control the tempo.  Obviously, Buffalo likes to get up and down the floor.  SC, however, will want to slow things down to work things into the post, where the match-ups will be heavy in their favor.
2. SC has to have at least a couple of other players step up.  While A'ja is a match-up nightmare for pretty much anyone, SC cannot rely on her alone.  There needs to still be an outside threat or 2 to pull the Buffalo players out of the paint, keeping them from sagging on A'ja and the other posts.
3. Ball pressure.  SC has been very susceptible to turning the ball over at times when faced with strong pressure.  If Buffalo tries to speed up the SC offense, the gamecocks will have to manage the pressure better than they did vs. NCA&T
4. Which Carolina team will show up?  The one that has played the 1st 2 rounds of this tournament, or the one that dominated the SEC Tournament?
5.  Ball pressure 2.  SC has to chase Buffalo off the 3 point line and put pressure on their guards.  If SC is successful in this aspect, I believe the gamecocks could have a great night.  Otherwise, the scales could tip in the favor of the bulls.

My keys to the game,

Buffalo has to pressure the ball and make the shot clock as short as possible.

Ousler recently has had her minutes cut against super athletic bigs. She needs to make an impact in the time she gets on the floor. Hemphill needs to defend, deny but also stay on the floor. We will need a ton out of Suchan as well. She has impressed lately.

Not to be captain obvious but we have to shoot well.

And by far the most important, all the players and my fellow alums who get to participate in a sweet 16 in NY State, enjoy it. Be safe. Go UB!

Oh, and anyone traveling into Albany for the game and wants some good food, beer and great service, before the game, Hill Street Cafe has parking (parking lot is across the street) and is just a short walk to the arena. If you do go, say hi to Amy for me. She is awesome.

Ahh, my son has a Stemfest.  Do we skip the science project and go for the game?
Dilemma, dilemma, dilemma.  Science project or Buffalo?  Arggg.

I hope you get selected for the halftime, half court shot (again)!
Ha!  You remember that?

Congrats to the ladies! Kudos to the committee for recognizing that the MAC should have had the at-large.

Awesome game! I caught the first quarter and then the end of the game.

One quirky thing I noticed is that ESPN is using the interlocking "UB" logo for the women but they used the Bull head logo for the Men. Anyone else notice that?

Tremendous win and at loss for words. This team has continued to impress all year both on the road and especially at home. Hearing many of the interviews with players and coaches you can tell this is a team that believes in itself and has a never give up mentality. The positive vibes and national exposure can only help the remaining players that are on the team along with the future recruiting process. Not sure any national media gave us or Central Michigan a chance to win these first two games. UB held their own against two Florida teams that on paper were bigger and more athletic. What stood out was our defensive intensity which we have seen all year. I believe we were truly under estimated from the get go. Congrats to the entire team for giving the truly passionate fans a season that will never be forgotten and is not over yet. Go Bulls!!!!
