Keep an ear to the ground for next 48 hours
« on: April 19, 2018, 11:19:55 AM »
Word is that “I’ve got a feeling the next 48 hours are going to be good for the Bulls” according to Coach Hodgson. He’s returning from Florida on what I presume to be a recruiting trip.

Can we get a little more context to this?

It’s a cryptic note Bryan posted on social media from the Fort Lauderdale airport. I have nothing more than that for you. But I suspect it is something he would not have put out there unless he’s pretty confident something good, perhaps very good is likely to happen.

... He’s returning from Florida...

He's been busy.  Per Verbal Commits, UB offered two from Cass Tech in Michigan today...

Verbal Commits indicates we just offered this PF from Florida. Also has a Bonnies offer.

I believe one of the upcoming announcements will be that Tra'von Fagan is committing here, he matches the 6'8" description at the celebration event that someone posted in another thread and goes to a JUCO in Florida which might be where Hodgson was returning from. He's a RS Freshman so he'd have 3 years to play which is nice, he essentially takes Reese' scholarship.

I'd assume there's news coming out in both of the days in the 48 hour period but I'm not sure what the other announcement might be. Hodgson posted a graphic showing 3 coaches heading to Dallas presumably for the JUCO All-American Showcase so maybe they think they're going to get a commitment there. The other thing that I think it could be is the announcement of the Belfast Classic field which feels like it should be coming out sooner rather than later.

I wouldnt think so. Not if he's keeping his three years. He'd have to already be enrolled this spring.

He will be eligible in the fall to play 3 more years.  He apparently had one year at a JUCO.  He can enroll either in the summer or the fall and play now.

Good size and athleticism. Seemed to rebound game in and game out. Offense intermittent. Blocked a fair number of shots. Should be a rotation player from the jump.

Oats and Co. in Dallas. JUCO showcase there, plus Nike EYBL circut starting up in Dallas this weekend.

From his video, expect some three point attempts and dunks off misses.  Not sure about his defense (beyond the blocks).
The State University of New York.

Blue. White. Damn Right.
