Pitt is expected to hire Jeff Capel III (assistant from Duke), so that bullet is officially dodged.

The Bull Run editors use slack as our water cooler. We chat there and plan on things to post. It might sever you well to set up one for UB fan with a similar purpose. So that you and the other admins can have a really convenient and closed chat interface.

yep ^

As NO said in his press conference after returning from Boise, we're trying to build this into a VCU, a Wichita State, a Gonzaga.  Sustained success changes the perspective of your program and it's no longer "Great, you should have beat Buffalo" and turns into "solid road win against a perennial top 100 team".  It will take some time of sustained success, but as they say, winning cures everything.  Win and everything else will take care of itself.

This year helped with wins against UB counting as Quadrant 1 wins for both Syracuse and Bona's at-large resume. Being in the "quality wins" conversation obviously means we lost but I like us being considered a quality opponent in bracket considerations

It also might be worth looking at something like Slack as well. It may be a chatting platform but it may serve the purposes ubfan needs

I love Slack for many things but I think it's too "closed doors" for UBFan and would take away the ability to build exposure to new fans.

That board is just stressing me out more, they have threads in every direction but many of them are high on Oats (I know it's mostly just fans discussing). Oats please hold a press release stating you're going NOWHERE before you head out to support the Women's team in Albany

Really hoping I'm shocked when Oats announces he is not taking the Pitt job and will not be fielding additional offers until next year.

I hate this feeling.

WKU is in the NIT Final Four. What’s the story behind Bearden’s decision to transfer?

Depends on who you ask but there's been a lot of speculation as well as (some what verified) rumors that he regretted the decision and tried to come back but the staff decided it was "too late".

Oh I do have one suggestion for ubfan, get some new software to make the site friendlier to mobile devices. Reading and making posts by phone is a real challenge.

This would be my number 1 priority :)

Class of 14 (BS) Class of 16(Masters) here. "It takes a village" is applied to everything. If we can get some young alums to give at $100-$250 range. That could have a huge impact.

Just made a $250 donation. Certainly does not break the bank for the basketball team but it is something.

Let's keep the ball rolling!

Thank you!
