Buffalo Bulls Football / New jerseys

via UB Bulls Twitter -

I'm not a huge fan of our new emblem on the field / court, but it looks sick on the jerseys and helmets. These look great!

Buffalo Bulls Football / I can't be the only one...

Who isn't entirely upset with the outcome of this game. Am I disappointed? YES, 100%, absolutely. It feels like we beat ourselves today, instead of getting beat by the opponent. That makes me sad, but if we're all being real with ourselves a 1-1 start is exactly what we would of expected when the schedule came out.

I thought the defense played great, particularly Baker on the outside I loved his game today. The linebackers had a great game too, and the young guys up front stood their ground.

When the offense wasn't killing itself, they were doing some good things. Anthone Taylor makes our offense go, NOT Joe Licata. If our running game is going, Licata can be that QB that everyone thinks he can be. Licata is not the QB that can carry a game by himself, IMO. With all the penalties and mistakes on our end, we were never fully able to make this a rush first attack, thus letting the PSU front kill us on a ton of obvious passing situations.

This team will do well going forward, I really believe that.

A sweet TD run by Oliver last night. From what i've heard, he is all but a lock to make the roster this season.

Buffalo Bulls Football / Early Spring impressions?
« on: March 30, 2015, 11:13:04 AM »
Has anyone heard or seen anything?

One name that i've seen pop up a few times as been WR transfer Collin Lisa. I'd expect him to be a huge part of our offense this year.

Buffalo Bulls Football / Let's talk about Joe...

Ok, first off let me start off by saying this may anger some people on the board, I am aware. But people, please stop acting like Joe Licata is this elite QB that can do no wrong. I get that he is a local kid, I get that he is a HS record breaker and puts up decent stats and he can look good at times. As we all should know, stats do NOT tell the whole story!

Based off the eye test, he has not improved from last year and I think it could be argued that he has digressed from last season. I have seen more overthrows and poor decisions than I remember all of last year. He looks almost uncomfortable in the pocket, and he doesn't throw a tight spiral. He is locking in on receivers too much, not going through his reads like he did last year. I am not here to bash the kid, but I think people need to wake up and stop looking at Joe like he is the savior of this team. He is our QB who looks good at times, and poor at other times similar to many other QB's we've had. Some of the blame for today's game should 100% be on Joe. I don't get why he keeps getting a free pass. He is NOT the only problem with this team, but he is one of them.

The "not having a Bo at RB" excuse is invalid because Taylor is putting up the same numbers.
You want to argue that he doesn't have a Neutz this year, maybe I can give that to you but our receivers have looked more than capable so far this year. This should be the year that Joe makes the receivers, not the other way around, and I don't see it from him.

BUFFALO, NY - The Mid-American Conference and ESPN announced on Wednesday afternoon that the University at Buffalo has been chosen as one of three institutions selected to begin the ESPN University Production Initiative at their respective universities.  Chosen along with Central Michigan and Northern Illinois, the ESPN University Production Initiative will allow for a minimum of 35 sporting events at each school to be picked up on one of the ESPN Networks through out the year.

“As we continue to build America’s next big time college athletics brand, this is a huge opportunity for us,” said Athletic Director Danny White.  “With the ESPN University Production Initiative, we will now have the ability to showcase our great University, our facilities, and most importantly our student-athletes to over 230,000 alumni worldwide.”

In year one, the Bulls will be producing 37 events beginning with the men’s basketball exhibition game on Nov. 6.  The schedule of events will include the entire home men’s and women’s basketball schedule as well as all five home wrestling dual meets.  The package will also include the final four home matches for volleyball.

This initiative will also allow for ESPN to broadcast basketball postgame press conferences.

All 37 events will air on ESPN3, but ESPN will have access to cut to any event on their main station, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews or during basketball season, the ESPN Buzzer Beater channel.

I think I speak for most everyone here when I say I am thankful for the UB Football team this year. This could be the best team in UB school history, and I am thrilled to be witnessing it.

Everyone enjoy your day, and #BeatBG

Buffalo Bulls Football / This is better..

I was one of the first to criticize this team after the dreadful SBU game, and I'll be one of the first on the board to post and say how different I feel today.

This is what I expected out of this team in the preseason, and after the OSU game. We are a legit MAC contender and if we keep playing at this level we are going to like the outcome of this season.

It's been a great few weeks as a UB fan, and I hope we can keep this up!

Buffalo Bulls Football / Would you rather
« on: September 08, 2013, 12:30:18 AM »
First off, let me say that game sucked today, bad. I've never watched a team go up and down the field on offense as easily as Baylor did today.

I read a tweet from Bob DiCesare with an interesting question. Would you guys rather be 2-0 right now, with wins over Illinois State and Army (Ball State) or be 0-2 with loses to OSU and Baylor (Buffalo). I don't really know what side to take. I believe the MONEY, experience, exposure and MONEY might make it worth it. With that said, Ball State is only 4 wins away from bowl eligibility. Some could say that the only games that matter as a member of the MAC are MAC games. What do you guys think?

Extremely impressed with the production of this video, and look forward to more episodes!
