Some of the worse calls I have seen and the key fouls favored WVU.... Just when UB is about to hold and have a chance to take the lead... No... Tic tac foul...

One news tidbit that I was like it won't happen is Bobby Hurley to Fordham.. Their fans think they could get him.... That is a bit on the imagination side... A team with losing record, bad facility (worse than ours), and the only thing I believe they could do is try to give a big $$ contract... But I doubt he would bite..

Those Fordham guys are insane. Why in the hell would you leave a UB team that is in the tourney and will only be better next year to coach a Fordham team that is awful and needs a complete rebuild?

Your point is my point... Unless they pay him in the millions and Hurley wants to be closer to his father's HS program... I just do not see it happening... At the end, Bobby would ride this out because his team is only going to get better... Imagine the recruiting pitches he has now....

It didn't matter if Albany win or lose... If Buffalo wins, we would still have two... I feel bad for Stony Brook though... They make to the championship game and lose.....

As a side note, this was the very feeling that I never got with Reggie.. A good coach but Bobby has done what Reggie could not.. Got us to the dance and won the MAC Tournament champion... A side question, was the coaching hire the best move by White? I know just before Hurley was hired, some people were not so sure about him... Now, in his second year, he exceeded my expectations.... What a great night for UB.... Redemption in many ways!

With a three way tie for the top spot between Buffalo, Kent State, and CMU, wouldn't UB be #1 because they have 2-1 record over the other two (2 Ws against KSU and 1 Loss to CMU) while CMU is 1-1 and KSU being 1-2? If it is head to head, then there is no way KSU should be ahead of Buffalo (as the ESPN3 announcers would state)... I believe Buffalo should be either 1 or 2.... But wanted to get confirmation so am I wrong?

NVM: another thread seem to point we are #2

If this was the case we would be #1. Unfortunately CMU beat us twice so we are 2-2 in head to head while they are 2-1. Hopefully if we see them again in the finals, the 3rd time will be the charm for us.

I hate that they call it "co-champs." We beat Kent twice, where is the "co" in that? We won the East straight up.

And let's not give Clodney too much crap, he may have started the thread but was merely the first to say what a lot of us were thinking at that time. I think we can all rally behind this team now, 2 wins away from the big show!

+1
You are right.. Did not see the second game (been busy with work and just coming around after a long year last year and this year...

After saying "just win" I was looking at conference standings. Am I wrong in that if we win and Toledo loses @EMU we clinch the 2 seed. Is it that simple?? ...."simple".

As for drinking before the game, my buddies and I might do a pregame at the Blue Bull Tavern off of Sweethome. Been interested in checking it out

If we and Toledo win, Toledo gets the two because they beat us.  We need a three way tie with Kent State in the mix to get the two.

No... We could get the two seed if we win and Toledo loses. We beat KSU on head to head (2-0)...So a three-way only applies if Toledo wins as well as UB..

Sadly, his arrogance and hubris got to him.. Because of his family name and he thinks he deserve everything.. Man, I remember how much we wanted him in our team.. In retrospect, thank goodness that we didn't..

Not even listed for 2015

RIvals is alwyas so far behind the curve that they have become a complete joke... 247 is far better...

I had to agree.. Been on the 247 website for over a year and just provides more information and depth... I would admit that Buffalo don't have much on the website but the website is definitely growing..

Buffalo Bulls Football / Re: O-Line/coaching

ESPN focuses on the O-line late in the game, showing how precisely they moved in sync.  I was impressed by the clip they played, which showed the O-line moving together in perfect coordination.

I know 1/2 of Bo's success is his strength/rediculous cuts/excellent vision and dogged determination, but 1/2 of his success has to be attributed to the O-line.

Here, I think even Quinn's fiercest critics have to admit that he's an Oline genius.  We've got backups who've been able to step in.  That comes from good coaching/training.  I'm glad we've got a coach who can work with the boys in the pit.

And thankfully it looks like he's got some coaches to help with other areas.

I'm very happy with our coaching situation.

I think Quinn wated his first year trying to be Brian Kelly. Once he got that out of his system he has been building a solid team..

Had to agree.. He tried to force a square peg into a round hole.. I believe that was what many fans were criticizing the 1st year... I even admit, this year team was solid on Tuesday and that Quinn did adapt..

The safety was a huge break, but we were by far and away the better team. Our defense was incredible and BO was doing whatever he liked out there. Amazing win

I would take it as a blessing.. I can't recollect how many bad calls went against the Bulls historically... I say that offense pass interference on Lee to be more than questionable... But those calls always seem to go against UB so many times... As stated, it was BO's game and the defense just played very well....

Buffalo Bulls Football / Re: Nice article about UB
« on: October 16, 2013, 01:12:05 PM »
Great article.  It's exciting to start seeing hype build around this team.  I know many of us aren't yet completely sold on this team, but there's no denying that momentum is growing for UB.  It's starting to feel a little like it did back in 08 when we started getting a lot of PR and people kept talking about us.  Even in the last few weeks, tons of people at work keep talking to me about UB who haven't in years.  Couple that with a down year for the Bills and Sabres and this could be a huge year for UB taking a step forward in becoming a major local brand.

Not to get even further ahead of ourselves, but if football is going to have one of its most successful seasons in history, it would be great if our basketball team could mirror that success as they have all of the tools in place.  It would be pretty exciting to be reveling in a bowl win when UB basketball wins the MAC and heads into the tournament!

I would like to clarify that I am 100% behind this team.  I really respect and enjoy watching the players we have on the field.  And that goes beyond Mack, Neutz, Oliver, and Licata.  After the UMASS game let's see how UB does the last five games of the season.   I am not sold yet on the coaching staff being ahead of a MAC team that is on the same caliper as UB.

I think most fans support UB athletics here... It is more about Quinn than anyone else... At the end, I want UB to succeed.. If Quinn does, then great.. I am just on the fences for the past 3 years, Rudy Johnson, etc...

Personally, I am still on the fences with Quinn... Actually, Quinn reminded me of the same issue Michigan have with Al Borges as the OC... That is besides the point but a nice article from Rickman
