Ok, first off let me start off by saying this may anger some people on the board, I am aware. But people, please stop acting like Joe Licata is this elite QB that can do no wrong. I get that he is a local kid, I get that he is a HS record breaker and puts up decent stats and he can look good at times. As we all should know, stats do NOT tell the whole story!
Based off the eye test, he has not improved from last year and I think it could be argued that he has digressed from last season. I have seen more overthrows and poor decisions than I remember all of last year. He looks almost uncomfortable in the pocket, and he doesn't throw a tight spiral. He is locking in on receivers too much, not going through his reads like he did last year. I am not here to bash the kid, but I think people need to wake up and stop looking at Joe like he is the savior of this team. He is our QB who looks good at times, and poor at other times similar to many other QB's we've had. Some of the blame for today's game should 100% be on Joe. I don't get why he keeps getting a free pass. He is NOT the only problem with this team, but he is one of them.
The "not having a Bo at RB" excuse is invalid because Taylor is putting up the same numbers.
You want to argue that he doesn't have a Neutz this year, maybe I can give that to you but our receivers have looked more than capable so far this year. This should be the year that Joe makes the receivers, not the other way around, and I don't see it from him.
