Buffalo Bulls Basketball / Re: 2018 - 2019 Roster - Looking Forward
« on: March 28, 2018, 12:33:03 PM »
I think Jeenathan will need to start at forward.
Not sure what his exact height is, different places have it ranging from 6-4 to 6-6.
So if he's 6-5, he's a undersized for Power Forward.  But he looks to be built pretty well up top.

I believe he's roughly 6'6" - 6'7". I saw a mixtape video of some of his highlights saying he's 6'8" but who knows.

Bryce Golden just decommited from Pit, maybe we can make a run at him... 6-9 230. Decent size for the MAC, and he probably saw us play last night.

Big fan, lot's of JuCo options as well (Hodgson feasts here) -

Ivan Aurrecoechea
Mohamed Thiam
Roderick Williams
Antun Maricevic
Nick Marshall
Willesley Butler
Jermaine Haley (Odessa - Willie Connor)

Nick Marshall would be a dream come true. But that's probably not happening.

This game kind of showed that yeah we have really good guards, but, we are so incredibly bleak at the 4 and 5 forward position, and that was really a major issue because of how lengthy Kentucky is. Outside of Perkins, we have nobody that can be remotely consistent. That is something Oats and company have got to address this off-season.

We are going to be bloody stacked at guard next season, but, forward position is not looking pretty as of right now.

GO BULLS!

Does anyone know where you can re-watch the game from last night? I'll even pay to re-watch.

General Discussion / Re: American Athletic Conference
« on: March 15, 2018, 10:13:02 AM »
I think a lot of people here don't really understand that, this men's team has just now become the type of team that is expected to be one of the best in the MAC. This is essentially year #5 where the basketball program has been taken to a whole new level. It's going to take a long time, a lot of winning, and a lot of exposure for better conference to consider UB. People will just have to be patient. Nate could be here for a long time as long as he keeps winning and UB continue's to pay him accordingly and continue's to build a college basketball culture in WNY.

We have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. Arizona is the team who'll be under pressure because they're expected to win this game. Our guys should just go in and have some fun and enjoy the stage. Win or lose, this year has been great for UB men's and women's basketball.

Buffalo Bulls Basketball / Re: Hurleys v. Cuse

Syracuse does not deserve to be in the tournament whatsoever. The fact that 'Cuse made it over Oklahoma State or Notre Dame is a complete joke. One could make the argument that St. Mary's or Middle Tennessee should be in over 'Cuse.

I hope Arizona State destroys them.

Buffalo Bulls Basketball / Re: Dontay Carruthers

I'd be a bit concerned about his injury the other day.  He was in obvious pain and limped quite a bit during the post game festivities.

Not sure if you knew this. He might just have a massive bruise, but who knows.

Promo, your point could well have been made without getting your obligatory shot in at the locals and anti-NYBI.  It has gotten really old.

Agree that Dontay probably played his best basketball in Cleveland. Still concerned about his attitude?? After the game with Toledo ended he did not stay with the team to shake hands with Toledo. He ran to the other side of the court to be with his friends/family??? Very strange selfish behavior?? He did that at one game at UB and was yelled at by a coach to be with the team for handshakes with the other team and with the students. Go Bulls!!!

Is there anywhere on here where you can look to see the total donations?

Dan Dakich is just your average miserable, old hack who had a failed coaching career and now he has to project his jealousy in that manner toward Oats and the MAC.

Just another ESPN "personality" with no personality.

We will be a scary first round matchup for anyone, I’d expect a 13 seed, but wouldn’t be shocked by a 12 or 14. We will see how other conference tournies end.

All the major bracketologists have us as a 12 seed. I'd be surprised if we were lower.
