It's games like this that I miss Ikenna Smart and also Brock Bertram. With those 2 being out, it affects us greatly. People have to keep in mind, once they do come back, and when Wes Clark is eligible to play, UB is most likely going to dominate the MAC. The future is bright. I think this was just a bad game against a relatively good Bonnie team. Don't dwell on this loss, move forward.

It sure was a large crowd. I missed the first 12 minutes of the game waiting in line for a ticket. HUGE walk up crowd. Unfortunately the ticket office can't handle that kind of demand.

Avoid that and order the ticket ahead of time. The Will Call office is your friend.

Re-watching the game, I just can't help but to get excited watching Davonta Jordan and the tremendous progress he has made. What he has done the first 2 games is what we've been missing at the guard position since Bearden had left. His ability to drive to the hoop is so fun to watch. Oh, and CJ buckets is back. Just an overall solid win against a good Jacksonville State team.

I am however disappointed in the first 2 games by Jeremy Harris, his shooting is very off, but, I feel as though he will just get better as the season rolls on.

This is a game that UB should win. But, Jacksonville State is a good team with a good amount of depth on the bench. If Massinburg's knee shows up tomorrow, then UB wins easy, if not, then the game will be close.

Exactly, perfectly stated.

It's not Jones. He would have left already.

It's Caruthers IMO, he may be calling it quits, or moving schools. I think the former? Many guard recruits, however it could be Smart too I guess.

I don't think Caruthers is leaving. Say what you will about him, but he is probably the best defensive guard we have, and was one of the best shooters late in the season last year. I think Smart will be gone after this year and we'll be seeing a lot more of Brock Bertram. But who knows really.

Just confirmed Clark is on scholarship. They're at 13 currently, the max for this season (EDIT: they are at 12, not 13. They have one available scholarship for this season).

Curious to see what happens next year given the fact that they have 14 scholarship players next year. No idea what their plans are regarding that.

I believe this may be Ikenna Smart's final season with the Bulls (don't quote me on it though). So if Smart does depart and Wes Clark's gone next year, it would be 13/13 scholarships for next season.

Verbal Commits has his name highlighted in purple, meaning he is not a scholarship player.

I wonder with all of the guard talent we have upcoming, that Oats will run a 2 forward and 3 guard lineup, kind of like Hurley was doing.

Hamlet got a couple of decent scholarship offers from VCU and Iona. Our weak spot last season was definitely guard, and Oats and Hodgson have done such an outstanding job. I am a little concerned about the Forward depth, but this is going to be a fun season.

That would be a huge boost for the squad, even though I have a lot of confidence in Massinburg/Caruthers as starters, having a talent like Wes early on would be so beneficial.

Hey everyone.

Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News reported that UB Basketball will lose Nikola Rakicevic due to medical reasons. Unclear if he is leaving the team or not.

In addition, Gaughan reported it's apparent that the signing of JUCO Forward Montell McRae was to be his scholarship replacement, as Nikola was a scholarship player.

Buffalo Bulls Basketball / What happened to Quate Mckinzie?

Last I have seen of him is when he left the game during the Alaska Anchorage game. I haven't seen any reports on him or anything.
